About Me
Having endured migraines from a young age and exploring numerous remedies without relief, I discovered Body Stress Release (BSR) in 2009 on a colleague’s recommendation. Opting to address the cause rather than the symptom, I found profound relief and was so captivated that I enrolled in the annual BSR course the following year, marking a pivotal shift from my 20-year career with Avis Rent A Car.
Since 2010, I’ve practiced BSR – a unique non-therapeutic complementary health technique in the Midrand, Gauteng area, having never looked back on leaving the corporate world. Each day, I’m privileged to meet individuals from diverse backgrounds, grappling with various physical and emotional challenges.
Through my journey, I’ve come to appreciate the gentle force of the body’s wisdom and the multi-faceted nature of healing. I firmly believe in honouring and respecting our remarkably designed physical structures, recognizing our responsibility to nurture our self-healing capacities – the most valuable ‘vehicle’ for experiencing life fully.
I am profoundly grateful for the individuals who have crossed my path, forging meaningful connections as clients of all ages entrusted their well-being to me. With extensive experience overcoming stress in corporate environments and navigating personal loss as a bereaved mother, I’ve served on two executive committees, appeared as a guest speaker on a podcast and live events, and featured on various radio stations.
Being an instrument in the healing journey and contributing to successful lives is immensely fulfilling. I find particular joy in inspiring and mentoring prospective BSR students, and currently serve on the BSR marketing committee. My passion lies in making a positive impact, witnessing individuals thrive, and eagerly anticipate many more enriching years by the belief that BSR offers hope and healing to those in need.
PRESENTING BODY STRESS RELEASE
Corporate Wellness Days provide an invaluable opportunity for us, as BSR (Body Stress Release) Practitioners, to engage with and support your greatest asset: your employees.
We are available not only to set up an information table, offering insights into BSR and its benefits, but also to conduct on-site BSR sessions. These sessions help alleviate stress, enhance well-being, and promote a healthier, more productive workplace environment.
Let us partner with you to make your Wellness Day a meaningful and impactful experience for your team!
Body. Stress. Release. The very sound of body stress release makes you want to draw in a deep breath and exhale all that could be keeping you tense with a feeling of being bound. Also to become free from that tightness in your head or chest, or that uneasy sense of living wound-up.
In this podcast, I speak with Kathy Heapy who is a Body Stress Release practitioner. Kathy shares her wealth of knowledge about how the body creates lines of tension and how these create symptoms that can be rectified by applying a different technique that is very gentle on the body yet is able to release locked up emotions and extreme forms of tension caused by injury, trauma and fatigue.
